This is a blog. That fact means nothing. It is not a peer-reviewed journal, a final archive of my writing, a sponsored publication, or the product of gatekeeping and editing. That does mean something…it means that while the ideas and thoughts are often vital and the product of a long gestational period, the writing itself is not. It is essentially as it came from the keyboard: spontaneous, unproofed, unrevised, and corrected afterward only when necessary to address mistakes that grossly effect the intent. Korea House (630 Congress St, Portland, ME) was formerly known as Happy Teriyaki. As of October 1, 2010, this "new" establishment is supposed to be more authentic Korean food. I did not eat at Happy Teriyaki, and doubt I will be coming back to Korea House. The food - in my experience - was greasy, bland, and unappetizing.
This weekend I was on a quest for an Asian take-away; I caught a glimpse of Little Seoul (90 Exchange Street, Portland, Maine). Little Seoul opened just two weeks ago and is bringing Sushi, Japanese and Korean dishes, and Tokyo/Seoul atmosphere to Portland.
